Iditarod Tour
This unique view of the world renowned sled dog race offers you the opportunity to see the real Alaska, the Iditarod racers and their dog teams competing in the "Last Great Race" from Anchorage to Nome. On the Monday morning after the official start on Saturday, Rust's Flying Service will fly you to the Finger Lake Iditarod checkpoint to watch the sled dog teams pass through on the Iditarod trail. You will enjoy a picnic lunch while observing the mushers and the dogs up close! This is a full day experience and our office can advise you on appropriate clothing for the tour. Watch for dog teams as you fly over sections of the trail on your return to Anchorage.
